Application of a Tourniquet, one handed - Operator injured and alone.
The Tourniquet (TQ) used to a risky and avoided 'taboo' by many civllian and city medics but increasing success in major trauma and battlefield medicine has supported a place for this useful bit of kit. The tourniquet occludes and restricts the free flow of venous and arterial blood circulation to a limb or extremity for a short time. Many operators are taught to carry and "IFAK" or similar medical kit and apply t to themself. In this attached video the operator demonstrates the application of the Tourniquet (TQ) to himself in a one handed operation.
[IFAK = "Improvised or Improved First Aid Kit"] There are many other types and styles of this First Aid or Medical bit of kit.
