Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)
With many Active Shooter threats and Police front line response in the inner cordon it is becoming more and more important that officers are trained in proven ways to save lives in the ‘’hot zone’ especially to fellow officers and victims.
Tactical Combat Casualty Care is the recognized front line emergency medical course for those operators, such as Police and Military, who may be first on scene in the hot zone and be there before and often without usual EMS medical care, civilian or otherwise and a treatment centre nearby - like a hospital etc.
There are many variations of this course and many great combined tactical and medical training sources out there.
The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians - Tactical Combat Casualty Care (NAEMT's TCCC) course introduces evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield, under the auspices of the PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) program. It is the only TCCC course endorsed by the American College of Surgeons and is also taught in Canadian Military and Police organizations.
The Police Charter (and with it's sister group DIMERSAR) will be providing more courses of this nature for those who can prove a legitimate need for it such as Police and Military personnel.
We have created a small intro booklet on some of the basic principles which you can download freely HERE
If you are interested in attending such training we have more classes coming up which may or may not be publicly advertised due to the selective nature of the course. Please get in touch and email us at POLICECHARTER@gmail.com or info@DIMERSAR.com
